About The Position

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Sr. Product Management Analyst to join their team. This role involves combining specialized knowledge and expertise with a broader understanding of business processes to provide product management support in areas such as pricing, statistical analysis, regulatory compliance, and marketing for assigned products or states. The analyst will be responsible for gathering, monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting data related to product, pricing, and marketing. The position requires handling complex assignments, identifying issues and opportunities for enhancements, and developing recommendations for effective business solutions. The analyst will also provide lead support for projects related to the implementation of new products, programs, standards, and procedures, and will analyze industry legislation to maintain expert knowledge of trends affecting property/casualty insurance products. Additionally, the analyst will represent the company with vendors, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies, and serve as a technical expert to guide and train less experienced staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience using multiple PC software applications: Word, Excel, Access, SAS, or Adobe.
  • Experience in at least three of the following: researching and developing new property/casualty insurance products, developing insurance programs, pricing insurance products, underwriting, marketing or sales of insurance products, adjusting claims, participating in rate making or policy language analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of techniques, practices, and theories in product, pricing, statistics, or marketing.
  • Solid understanding of pricing or marketing responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • CPCU, IIA, LOMA, CAS or other insurance-related coursework.
  • Project Management or Product Management certification.
  • Experience working as an analyst in a product management or product development environment.
  • Experience writing and/or testing detailed requirements.
  • Knowledge of property/casualty insurance policy forms and language.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary resource for product management support on pricing, statistical, regulatory, and marketing aspects.
  • Gather, monitor, analyze, and interpret data for assigned product, pricing, and marketing areas.
  • Handle complex assignments and identify issues and opportunities for enhancements.
  • Develop recommendations for effective business solutions and present them to management.
  • Provide lead support to projects/processes associated with the implementation of new products, programs, standards, and/or procedures.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of rate, rule, and policy revisions.
  • Analyze industry legislation and maintain expert knowledge of new trends affecting property/casualty insurance products.
  • Develop solutions and gain commitment from management regarding product actions.
  • Represent the company with vendors, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide input, guidance, and training to less experienced staff.
