Reporting to the Sense Colour Senior NPD Manager for Americas, you will lead Natural color development projects, direct research initiatives and support knowledge sharing to promote our growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or other science area.
  • 5+ years' experience in colors with training in color blending and testing in finished product for performance and stability.
  • Experience with Natural colors with an advanced level of understanding for colors and their botanical sources.
  • Knowledge of color raw materials and related ingredients with the ability to formulate blends to achieve performance for customer briefs, problem solving processes, research and development needs.
  • Knowledge of local and regional regulatory requirements for Natural colors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare color samples for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, and physical testing.
  • Formulate new color creations or modify existing to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of color materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for color development.
  • Lead customer visits.
  • Participate in large research, customer, and internal technical projects to create innovative colors.
  • Be the technical expert to marketing, sales, and customers for discussions on Natural color performance, raw materials and botanical sources, and stability aspects of multiple natural color sources.
  • Provide technical support to resolve color production issues and customer complaints with complete ownership of created colors.
  • Build a diverse and inclusive environment that leverages differences in styles, thinking and approaches.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment observing EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.
