About The Position

As a Senior Product Designer, you are the engine of product execution. You lead complex, high-stakes initiatives from ambiguity to polished reality. You don't just "design screens"; you architect cohesive experiences that leverage AI and machine learning to reduce decision latency for our customers and internal teams. You are a master of your craft, a proactive collaborator, and a mentor to the team's standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-8+ years of experience designing digital products at scale, preferably in fintech, real estate, or complex B2B environments.
  • Portfolio Mastery: A portfolio that shows deep systemic thinking, attention to detail, and a track record of shipping products that solved real business problems.
  • Modern Stack: Expert proficiency in Figma. Deep familiarity with auto-layout, components, and library management.
  • AI Proficiency: You are an early adopter. You can demonstrate how you use LLMs or generative tools to sharpen your thinking and speed up your production.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS logic) and how design systems bridge the gap to engineering.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the design process for major product workstreams. You are responsible for the entire lifecycle: from initial research and problem definition to high-fidelity hand-off and post-launch optimization.
  • Business-Centric Design: Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to ensure design solutions aren't just beautiful, but drive core business metrics like conversion, loan volume, and operational efficiency.
  • Proactive Optimization: You don't wait for a ticket. You identify friction in our current products and propose data-backed improvements to our "North Star" customer journey.
  • Self-Motivated Initiative: Seek out feedback and adapt based on input. You manage your own time and prioritize effectively against business goals.
  • Advanced Tooling: Integrate AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Magic Patterns, Subframe) into your daily workflow to accelerate exploration and increase output quality.
  • Intelligent UX: Design interfaces that effectively surface AI-driven insights to users, making complex quantitative data easy to understand and act upon.
  • System Contribution: Be a power user and active contributor to the Kiavi Design System. You don't just follow patterns; you help refine them, ensuring our tokens and components remain robust and scalable.
  • Technical Fluency: Work closely with engineers to ensure design intent is preserved in code. You understand the technical constraints of web frameworks and APIs and design with implementation in mind.
  • Continuous Discovery: Plan and execute your own user research. You synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative data into clear "Why" statements that influence the product roadmap.
