About The Position

This role is for a Senior designer shaping the future of hybrid work by creating end-to-end room experiences that bridge physical hardware and digital software. You’ll design scalable, intuitive solutions for Zoom Rooms across meeting spaces, owning major product areas and collaborating with global teams, engineers, and hardware partners. The ideal candidate is a systems-minded designer passionate about elegant, inclusive experiences in complex enterprise environments. You’ll join the Zoom App and Marketplace team to design customizable apps and scalable integrations that support growing businesses. Working with a collaborative, detail-oriented design team, you’ll partner closely with product, engineering, research, and accessibility to shape communication and AI experiences at scale.

Requirements

  • Hold BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in product design, portfolio showcasing exceptional user-centered interaction design across TV interfaces, kiosks, other non-desktop form factors.
  • Have an understanding of the interplay between personal devices (mobile/laptop) and shared devices (room systems).
  • Have a deep understanding and handling of visual design with a passion for polish and an expert eye for detail—spacing, layout, motion and Structure.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate positions to influence and engage partners with new design thinking.
  • Have Exposure to AI-powered design tools (Prompting, Vibe Coding, Cursor, FigmaMake, and other relevant tools) for both design and prototyping
  • Have deep systems thinking, contributes to design systems, and communicates effectively to articulate ideas, influence stakeholders, and question partners with innovative design perspectives.
  • Have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking practices, experience with motion design is an added.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting contextual research that considers physical environments and hybrid meeting dynamics, and collaborate with hardware partners to ensure the software fully leverages diverse room devices.
  • Visualizing and document the complex relationships between the Zoom Room, Controller, Scheduling Display, and Admin Portal to ensure system-wide consistency.
  • Design for diverse interaction models, including input, voice control, and companion usage (pairing a phone, laptop, or tablet to the room).
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams (PM, engineering, research, and accessibility) to align on product direction, deliver impactful work, and champion design excellence across all surfaces.
  • Driving high-quality design by collaborating with leadership ensuring clarity and vision alignment, while setting a high bar for polished UI, layout, motion, and interaction details.
  • Leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions, evaluate success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Crafting in Figma – Own design execution in Figma and deliver pixel-perfect visuals, robust prototypes, and clear specifications for engineering partners.
