About The Position

Luna is looking for a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) who is motivated, fast-moving, and ready to take ownership of our Design function. In this role, you'll work closely with Product Managers to lead the design of new features and enhancements across our platform. You’ll be instrumental in shaping user experiences for both our patient and therapist mobile apps, as well as our internal web applications that support operations and clinical workflows. Reporting to the Head of Product, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and key business stakeholders to research, design, plan, and deliver solutions that improve how care is experienced every day. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on the quality and usability of our core products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2C mobile app design / UX, including deep familiarity with both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience managing a design system, including its ongoing maintenance and improvement.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, including creating and maintaining reusable components and applying platform-specific UX conventions (iOS, Android, Web).
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure efficient planning and design of new features and functionality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and empathize across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt within a fast-paced high-growth environment with new systems, software, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Design Systems: Continually improve Luna’s mobile and internal Web application design systems to ensure consistent, accessible, and intuitive UX.
  • Conduct User Research: Conduct ongoing user research, including interviews and usability testing, and document findings to guide feature planning and enhancements.
  • Plan and Design Features: Collaborate with Product Managers to define user needs, establish feature requirements, and create and iterate on designs, primarily for Luna’s mobile applications but also the company’s internal Web applications.
  • Support Engineering: Closely work with Engineering to ensure a smooth handoff of the designs and efficient implementation of them.
