Senior Product Data Scientist, YouTube Growth
About The Position
Help serve Google's worldwide user base of more than a billion people. Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. As a data-loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better decisions. You will weave stories with meaningful insight from data. You'll make critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers in Engineering and Product Management. You relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader the next. In this role, you will be developing a unified, holistic view of growth and health across the entire YouTube ecosystem. Your primary mission will be to establish the standards for what healthy growth looks like, actively monitor product areas for performance, and proactively surface and explain critical trends to YouTube leadership. You will move beyond localized growth initiatives to provide the cross-platform insights that guide major business and product investments. Your work will involve developing new frameworks for measuring and benchmarking growth across different parts of YouTube, diagnosing areas of unhealthy or unsustainable trends, and translating data into clear, actionable narratives.
