About The Position

As a Senior Product Associate in Escrow Services, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success. Escrow Services is a business unit within the Payments division of J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Escrow holds institutional client assets in safekeeping until certain pre-agreed conditions have been fulfilled. Escrow is used to mitigate risk in institutional transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and litigation settlements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
  • Ability to define and drive projects independently, and juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Ability to gather and document product requirements for development teams
  • Inquisitive nature with excellent problem solving and critical thinking capabilities and strong attention to detail
  • Client centric – interest in and ability to define compelling products that address customer needs
  • Effective interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships with functional partners inside and outside Escrow Services, and to lead and organize cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience with core Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and JIRA (or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  • Works with business and technology teams to drive project initiation, scoping, and planning for both internal and client-facing applications
  • Provide feedback to technology team on completed builds
  • Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing and Production Validation Testing
  • Serve as day-to-day Product expert and resource for Technology team
  • Serve as training resource during rollout of applications to Sales and Client Service staff
