About The Position

As the Senior Procurement Manager – Packaging, you will lead sourcing and supplier management for glass packaging across our manufacturing network. You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Marketing, and Finance to deliver high-impact initiatives that influence cost, quality, and operational performance. Our Procurement team is growing, and this role is open due to an internal promotion. This is an excellent opportunity to join Sazerac and play a key role in driving sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and cost optimization across our packaging category.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of relevant experience
Packaging experience (glass, metal, corrugated)

Nice To Haves

Wine and spirits industry experience
Strong background in vendor management and contract negotiation
Experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
Experience supporting multiple locations
Willingness to travel
5+ years managing vendor relationships, including contracts

Responsibilities

Develop and execute category sourcing strategies that drive material cost improvements
Lead supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and performance management
Partner with Manufacturing to optimize cost, quality, service, and inventory levels
Support new product launches and brand renovations, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Analyze supply and demand to improve inventory strategy and reduce excess
Identify and implement cost-saving and value engineering opportunities
Drive supplier quality improvements and ensure compliance with key standards
Contribute to strategic procurement initiatives with company-wide impact
