The Senior Manager of Procurement will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities supporting New Product Development (NPD) across the organization and Electronics Planning and Purchasing for manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for building and managing a high-performing procurement team, driving supplier engagement, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services critical to product launches. This role also manages a team that plans and purchases electronic components, ensuring alignment with production schedules and product development timelines. The Senior Manager will also develop procurement strategies, policies, and processes aligned with organizational goals, while fostering cross-functional collaboration to enable innovation and speed-to-market.

  • Lead procurement strategy and execution for New Product Introductions, ensuring alignment with product development timelines and business objectives.
  • Partner with R&D, Engineering, and Operations to proactively identify sourcing needs and mitigate risks during product development and launch phases.
  • Manage a team responsible for planning and purchasing electronic components for manufacturing plants, ensuring continuity of supply, inventory management, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and manage a high-performing procurement team, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that support innovation, agility, and compliance.
  • Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management, with a focus on strategic partnerships and long-term value creation.
  • Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Champion supplier diversity, sustainability, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Support change management and process improvement initiatives across the procurement function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain, including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience supporting New Product Introductions or product development cycles.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards.
