About The Position

The Senior Procurement Category Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a robust and transparent national and regional grocery and protein supply chain. This includes coordinating with suppliers to ensure proper supply, quality, contracts, food safety, ingredient specifications, onboarding protocols, compliance, and pricing for all grocery and protein items. The role also involves creating ingredient supply resiliency to reduce risk while scaling and offsetting dynamic market conditions. Additionally, the manager will oversee all national non-produce ingredient projects, ensuring they are scoped, designed, tracked, and delivered on time. Transparency is key, as the manager will coordinate with Brand/Content teams to share sourcing information with guests and synchronize with the Value Chain team for local sourcing opportunities. The role also emphasizes driving improvements in sustainability and quality sourcing objectives, particularly regarding animal welfare in protein sourcing. The manager will negotiate supplier program improvements, deliver period-end reporting, and support new procurement category managers as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years category management and sales experience in a high-volume food industry.
  • Knowledge of sustainable farming and soil health principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Food Science, Agriculture, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience moving perishable products through distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with food-related certifications and requirements.
  • Experience with procurement and supply chain software.

Responsibilities
