Requirements

  • FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum two years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of chemicals used in specific process
  • Must complete site specific safety training and operator training
  • Ability to communicate clearly to team members
  • Familiarity with MS Office suites
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.

  • CARBON: Be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training

Responsibilities

  • Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
  • Read and follow documented processes
  • Check on equipment throughout the shift to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Loads and unloads deliveries to and from regional branches
  • Operate computer to enter necessary documentation
  • Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
  • Contributes to division results and performance
  • Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
  • Operate equipment specific to area such as: CARBON: Bag products, samples and test; Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, run facility wastewater treatment plant REGEN: Sort bottles by size and resin; Operate forklift to move bottles and materials through plant and on/off trucks; evacuates bottles, generating resin batches; fills and quality tests SDI products (process SDI product beginning to end).
