Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • 5+ years experience; A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plasma spray coatings and or Laser drilling process development preferred
  • Experience in the following types of coatings would be of great benefit, but not required: Low pressure plasma spray, atmospheric plasma spray, thermal barrier coatings, EBPVD coatings and Vapor diffusion coatings
  • Experience in the following types of laser processing would be of great benefit, but not required: YAG, Fiber, CO2, EB

Responsibilities

  • PFMEA and Control Plan creation
  • Develop processes for new product introductions and development parts and collaborate with design engineering and IPT
  • Implementation of new capital equipment from specification to production
  • Help create and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements)
  • First Article Inspection and control of manufacturing software
  • Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs /escapes and reduce overall assembly costs
  • Track, compile, and analyze data to understand process capability for decision making and generating projects
  • Participate and implement Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) initiatives
  • Significant interaction with the hourly work force, tool designers, QE’s, Integrated Product Teams, systems designers, Information Systems, and program assembly partners
  • Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factor risks
