This position requires a strong understanding of food production, logistics, and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in food production, preferably in a large-scale commercial kitchen.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in computer and technical skills, including a working knowledge of Google Suite tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred.
- Experience managing in a Union Environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process Management and Optimization: Oversee and optimize all aspects of the CPU's production processes, including scheduling, ingredient sourcing, and quality control.
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative and efficient production techniques.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, sanitation, and food quality standards.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the CPU's budget, including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and control labor and food costs to optimize profitability.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Logistics and Supply Chain: Manage the efficient flow of ingredients and finished products between the CPU and client locations.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet Bon Appétit's high standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to develop and maintain recipe standards.
