Requirements

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Chemical Process Industry preferred.
  • Work experience in and/or supporting a Chemical Manufacturing Environment required.
  • Detailed knowledge in chemical process engineering design methods required.
  • Experience in PLC and/or DCS control system preferred.
  • Ability to hold high level technology and project discussions with internal customers influencing decision makers or external agencies if warranted.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pertinent regulatory compliance and approval requirements as it relates to existing and new technology.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and execute multiple projects at various stages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Strong technical and data analysis skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and model manufacturing processes, equipment, and plants used in manufacturing plants in North America.
  • Investigate data, implement change, and drive improvement.
  • Interface regularly with all levels of Henkel, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Support process safety requirements such as Basic and Detailed Risk Assessments, HAZOP, MOC, PSSR, LOPA, SIS, etc.
  • Work as a member of project teams to support successful delivery and implementation of major capital projects within Henkel North America.
  • Develop and implement process engineering and process safety guidelines, tools, and procedures for standardization and use throughout the company.
  • Support execution of capital projects through project cost estimating, PHA's, procurement, contracting, construction oversight, commissioning and start-up as needed.
  • Plan and execute projects to deliver results.
  • Manage complex projects or multiple projects of defined scope.
  • Direct collaborators to develop new processes for specific needs.
  • Support investigating, implementation and utilization of new processing technologies.
