About The Position

The Process Engineer at Mondelēz International is responsible for loss analysis, loss intelligence, and loss elimination throughout the operation. This role involves collaborating with leadership and core teams to enhance performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The Process Engineer participates in a structured loss analysis process to track performance and develop actionable plans to meet site targets. Key skills include root cause analysis, change management, and coaching, all of which are cultivated through the Integrated Lean Six Sigma program. The role also requires managing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality product output and leading teams to document and control best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemical, Food, Packaging, or Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Statistics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a similar degree.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) and high-performance work systems.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills for team discussions on CI activities.
  • Application of lean and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tools in a factory or operations environment.
  • Ability to manipulate and validate data in manual and automated systems.
  • Mastery of Excel and other data analytics tools.
  • Organized and disciplined to support and educate on the DMS process.
  • Logical and structured thinking to extract insights from data.

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Previous experience as a Process Engineer, FI Engineer, or IL6S Engineer.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and engaging teams.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Lean Six Sigma Work Systems.
  • Knowledge of Measurement Methods and Statistical Analysis.
  • Previous Project Management experience.
  • Experience in Production, Process, or Continuous Improvement within Food Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Focused Improvement (FI) tools and techniques.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to manufacturing standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to Lean Six Sigma efforts supporting Measurement System Analysis.
  • Assist teams in data collection and extraction to support CI activities and the Daily Management System (DMS).
  • Facilitate root-cause analysis to address losses and KPI scorecard gaps.
  • Establish new work standards to sustain improvements.
  • Train and qualify colleagues on CI tools and new work standards.
