Senior Process Engineer

Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Process Engineer to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
- Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
Nice To Haves
- Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred.
- Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
- Professional Engineer License preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct construction document reviews as required
- Plan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup
- Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development
- Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design
- Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
