About The Position

Senior Process Engineer Position Purpose: We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Process Engineer with extensive experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Candidates must be able to thrive in a team environment overseeing a variety of municipal process projects. Requirements

  • Advanced experience consulting or working with local, regional, and state government.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Passionate about organizing and leading others; drives results by planning, prioritizing, and meeting tight deadlines required.
  • Ability to work independently with a self-motivated attitude; capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • PE Licensure in Michigan and/or Indiana (or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire)
  • 10+ years of water and wastewater process experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • Water or Wastewater operational experience is desired
  • Construction observation experience is desired
  • Project management experience is desired

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to understand challenges and needs
  • Preparation of feasibility studies and engineering reports and process design calculations.
  • Coordination with equipment representatives and manufacturers, water and wastewater system layout.
  • Coordination of design efforts with project team members. E.g.: specification writing, construction permitting, preparation of bidding documents, review of shop drawings and other construction submittals, and coordination of construction administration responsibilities.
