The Senior Process Automation Analyst at UL, LLC is responsible for analyzing and documenting business processes, proposing improvements, and designing automation solutions in accordance with Lean Six Sigma principles. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to assess current processes, preparing detailed documentation, and supporting change management initiatives. The analyst will also work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of automation projects.

  • Interview process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather business process details and requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to conduct current state process assessments.
  • Analyze and document business processes at a keystroke level (L4).
  • Propose process improvements to process owners and SMEs prior to designing automation solutions.
  • Design end-to-end processes in accordance with standard design principles for developers in preparation for automation.
  • Learn capabilities and limitations of robotics software tools.
  • Analyze and observe processes to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used for automation.
  • Identify processes suitable for automation and recommend reengineering to improve automation potential.
  • Prepare detailed process documentation including flow charts, workflows, requirements documentation, and test documentation.
  • Communicate the best-fit approach for requirements and deliver clean configuration and testing.
  • Work with process owners and developers to ensure understanding of documents and obtain sign-off prior to development.
  • Support and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing change management.
  • Take responsibility for project activities including work estimation, planning, stakeholder management, and project quality.
  • Participate in the prioritization of automation projects, enhancement requests, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Identify risks and dependencies within automation processes and manage them cross-functionally.
  • Follow UL Solutions Code of Conduct and security practices.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) development expertise with UiPath.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python.
  • Basic proficiency in Visio.
