About The Position

The Senior Privacy Analyst will report to Associate Director - Privacy, assisting in and supporting the development and administration of an Enterprise Data Privacy Program. The primary responsibilities for this position relate to supporting the Bank’s Privacy compliance efforts. This Senior Privacy Analyst collaborates with the first, second, and third line of defense departments to support adherence to regulatory commitments and the development of appropriate monitoring and controls to mitigate compliance risk. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on state and federal compliance laws relating to consumer privacy and regulations to strengthen processes, procedures, and controls for the lines of business. Stay current with industry best practices and guidance relating to consumer privacy. Partner with the lines of business to understand compliance impacts on changes to product offerings and business changes, including additional consumer offerings. Maintain proactive and effective relationships with First Line of Defense stakeholders to gain insight into compliance risks associated with line of business activities, objectives, practices, processes, and overall control environment. Assist with responses to CCPA and other consumer privacy-related inquiries. Proactively monitor privacy-related regulatory change and provide strategic guidance for organizational, procedural, and policy changes as it relates to these changes. Update policies, procedures, job aids, and other documentation related to privacy compliance processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of privacy compliance, general compliance, third-party (vendor) risk compliance, risk management, and/or audit experience
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
  • Understanding of compliance risk management practices and methodologies, including risk assessment and control assessments.
  • Understanding of Privacy by Design and how to implement Privacy controls via technological solutions
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate understanding of MS Office.
  • Intermediate ability to foster and build relationships to achieve a common goal.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state banking and privacy laws and regulations with the ability to promptly research regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to solve problems
  • Understanding of and demonstrated success using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and to increase productivity
  • Project management exposure and ability to effectively manage various deadlines and moving pieces, while communicating these effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of compliance risk management principles and role in advising and providing guidance on bank laws, rules and regulations, and related policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated skill in effectively communicating with all levels of management with a focus on collaboration and relationship management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • High ethical standards, strong critical thinking, detective, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • IAPP CIPP/US highly preferred; other IAPP Certification a plus
