Lead the mechanical engineering design and development of 3D process for hydrogel biomaterials. Support the development of methods to produce 3D ed lung scaffolds that are suitable for cellularization and will include both in-house development and active project management of external partners to meet project milestones. Assist external hardware partners with 3D er specification, development, verification, and training. Lead process of new bio-inks and designs. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Lead assigned projects with the biomaterial development team to define process and material requirements. Work closely with preclinical and cell biology end users to develop process and inks. Design and execute experiments to evaluate 3D er hardware & software.
