As a Senior Principal III Software Architect/Engineering Lead, you'll spearhead a talented, cross-functional team, driving innovation with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies. You'll architect sophisticated software solutions using modern C++ in Linux environments, leveraging frameworks like Kubernetes for containerized deployments, cloud-native architectures, and real-time data processing pipelines. Our team embraces Agile and DevSecOps practices, utilizing tools like the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Git for seamless collaboration and CI/CD workflows. You'll have the chance to integrate emerging technologies for signal processing and advanced simulation environments, to push the boundaries of electronic warfare systems. In this leadership role, you'll collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers across all project phases—from strategic planning and requirements definition to design, development, integration, and testing. You'll present innovative technical designs at customer interchange meetings, mentor engineers to foster technical excellence, and ensure program success through clear communication and robust processes. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in in embedded and application software development in C++ on Linux platforms
  • Strong foundation in Object-Oriented design and system architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, drive architecture decisions, and deliver complex systems
  • Experience with software engineering processes, methodologies, testing, validation, and verification
  • Proven success influencing system-level design and integration across large programs
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with experience briefing senior stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • Background in electronic warfare, radar, or communication systems
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience with Agile mythologies and full life-cycle development
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian Suite, ClearCase, Git/Bit Bucket, or CI/CD frameworks
  • Demonstrated success as a technical lead or customer-facing engineering architect
