About The Position

The purpose of the Central AI organization within Atlassian is to accelerate AI innovation and development across Atlassian's products and platform. It aims to provide cohesive AI experiences and establish an Atlassian AI infrastructure for the future. The organization focuses on building horizontal AI capabilities and infrastructure that can be leveraged across various products. Additionally, Central AI is responsible for developing centralized Search, Q&A, and Conversational AI across all Atlassian products which form the basis for Atlassian’s Rovo AI product offering, as well as exploring integration with AI products outside Atlassian. Central AI is structured around three main pillars: AI Fundamentals, Search & Conversation, and Search Data & Ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages Python and Java.
• Familiarity with conversational AI technologies.
• Previous experience in developing AI applications or chatbots.
• Experience in integrating AI solutions with existing systems and platforms.
• Familiarity with APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate the building of deep first-party (1P) agents across Atlassian products.
• Enable customers to build their own AI powered agents customized to their workflows.
• Revolutionize how millions of users accomplish tasks daily, including resolving customer inquiries in Jira Service Management and automatically grooming a backlog in Jira.
• Contribute to the development of cutting-edge DevAI agents that automatically write and deploy code.
• Help build the foundations that accelerate teams to provide impact in AI-powered chat experiences.
