As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with Cardiac Ablation Solutions, you'll have the opportunity to apply your Electrophysiology expertise to solve complex challenges. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders and bridging functional and geographic boundaries to drive new product development. You'll also be responsible for interface testing, both within the system and during commercial support, as well as integrating the system into hospital environments. The Cardiac Ablation Solutions Unit develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 6 years relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment
  • Experience in Systems Engineering including defining systems architecture within medical device product development
  • Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a leader and mentor more junior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the creation of integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents.
  • Coach other engineers in the application of systems engineering principles and identify opportunities for applying systems engineering within work assigned to the team.
  • Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education in technical questions.
  • Propose and implement changes to improve systems and/or processes.
