Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineering candidate in our Roy, Utah location. The individual will be responsible for providing on site expert level configuration and implementation of security compliance for SAP Program level (SAP) using Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), and DOD Collateral using DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) / National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

  • Work alongside peers to help develop and implement a full range of tools and secure architecture for fast paced and dynamic networks and test environments.
  • Review and make security relevant recommendations to change requests on the system.
  • Create and maintain artifacts supporting Authority to Operate decision from cognizant authority.
  • Ensure statement of work is being completed while delegating lower tasks to junior cybersecurity personnel.
  • Assess and analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for identified mission-critical functions and critical components.
  • Understand, review, and interpret vulnerability assessment results.
  • Research, analyze data, and derive facts per identified vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in a variety of working groups and customer meetings; ensure communication of risk environment with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of assessment capabilities through the development and implementation of improved methodology, processes, infrastructure, tools, and deliverables.
  • Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 6 relevant years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
  • 3 years of experience managing communications with stakeholders through organized processes.
  • 3 years of experience identifying and addressing cybersecurity program impacts through a systematic proactive approach.
