About The Position

The Senior Principal Subcontracts Professional will lead and act as the focal point for all supply chain contractual communications and commitments to subcontractors, working with cross-functional teams in the development of complex subcontract statements of work, technical specifications, and flow-down of mandatory or otherwise necessary/prudent from a business and contract perspective. The role requires ensuring that subcontract documentation mitigates the suppliers' performance risk and conforms with program contract terms, conditions, and other provisions including applicable federal regulations and business team objectives prior to signature/acceptance. The position also involves facilitating the development of team/partner relationships with subcontractors and maintaining relationships for long-term engagements that provide a competitive advantage to the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
  • Substantial knowledge in applicable contractual flow downs, federal, state, Federal Acquisition Requirements/DFAR, and local laws.
  • Expertise in specific commodity, product, or technology.
  • Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
  • Ability to manage complex subcontracts including budgets, program reviews, schedule, risk, and technical performance.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to develop win-win solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills to aid in solving complex problems.
