About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) architecture development engineering team is seeking a highly driven GPU platform software & system development engineer at the Principal Engineer level. We are at the forefront of AI innovation, exploring the next generation of AI accelerators and hardware solutions. As a Senior Principal software engineer, part of our growing team, you will be involved in evaluation, prototyping, and optimizing cutting-edge AI hardware, AI accelerators, including custom-designed AI chips and systems and software to drive next-gen Cloud AI Infrastructure platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly in GPU platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI hardware and accelerators.
• Experience with system integration and performance testing.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in evaluating and prototyping AI hardware solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with custom-designed AI chips.
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning applications.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform definition and development oversight.
• Conduct in-house development and design reviews.
• Perform system integration, performance testing, and characterization.
• Interact closely with third party GPU IC suppliers and partners.
• Collaborate with internal hardware and software development teams.
• Benchmark performance of the latest AI hardware architectures.
• Ensure tight integration of software with AI workloads.
