About The Position

The Senior Principal Scientist in Virology at Sanofi will play a pivotal role in advancing vaccine products and novel candidates within the Global Antigen Design organization. This position focuses on scientific leadership, mentoring junior scientists, and fostering collaboration to enhance vaccine development. The role emphasizes adherence to health, safety, and quality standards while driving innovation and efficiency in vaccine research and development.

Requirements

• PhD with 4 years of experience in the industry, preferably in vaccinology, or MSc with 9 years, or BSc with 12 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in virological techniques such as virus amplification and neutralization assays.
• Knowledge of molecular biology applications including PCR, cloning, and sequencing analysis.
• Experience with automated platforms in assay use is a plus.
• Leadership skills and experience in an agile, matrixed environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with scientific software for advanced data analytics and visualization such as Genious, snapgene, or Tableau.
• Resourcefulness in finding tactical solutions to challenges.
• Strong results-oriented and data-driven approach.
