About The Position

The successful candidate will act as a technical lead for advanced antenna ranges, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, and high-power microwave test cells. HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE? Mission: This role is dedicated to solving intricate technical problems and providing timely, mission-critical solutions to support our country's warfighters. How: By using industry best practices and bringing the following to the team: Technical Leadership: Lead efforts for antenna and Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurements within test ranges System Design & Integration: Design, build, and field antenna measurement systems. Advanced Testing: Lead production and experimental measurements using linear rail synthetic aperture radar (LSAR) and high-power microwave (HPM) test cells. Project Management: Ability to manage large diverse efforts, including facility upgrades, resource allocations, and subcontractor coordination. Material Analysis: Perform and process data for isotropic and anisotropic materials using waveguides, focused beam systems, and grazing incidence apparatus. Lab Development: Develop requirements and manage the acquisition of equipment for RF test lab expansions and facility moves. WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED? Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Experience Level: Senior / Principal (15+ years of multi-disciplinary experience preferred) RF Expertise: Extensive experience with network analyzer-based measurement systems, Elan 2000 instrumentation radar, and positioner/cable management systems. Millimeter Wave Experience: Proven ability to extend usable frequency ranges (e.g., up to 110 GHz) and measure radiated field strengths of mm-wave scanners. Technical Problem Solving: Ability to resolve complex electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues and perform precision alignment of reflectors and feeds using optic properties. Hands-on Fabrication: Proficiency in custom fabrication of mounts from mechanical drawings and familiarity with electronics lab operations. Security Requirements - Active Security Clearance. Applicants must be US citizens capable of maintaining a US DoD security clearance. Preferred Skills & Certifications Advanced Training: Completion of specialized coursework in the areas of RCS and other measurement areas Technical Versatility: Background in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Requirements
