BAE Systems is searching for a Senior Principal RF Test Engineer to become the newest member of the newly formed Operations Test Support Organization with experience in developing automated test software solutions. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments with little oversight while being available as a subject matter expert and technical lead to their team. They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role as circumstances dictate, and be able to quickly and dynamically switch focus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering team, supporting a production environment. This individual should be comfortable providing accurate technical status to program management, operations leadership or direction to individual contributors as part of their job function, as well as interfacing with other operations and engineering disciplines as necessary. The ideal candidate would be familiar or experienced in: NI Test Software Tools TestStand LabWindows/CVI Software Instrument Communication Network analyzers Spectrum analyzers Oscilloscopes Microwave/RF measurements VSWR Gain Compression Phase noise Intermodulation Etc Digital Communication and Control PXI/PXIe Interface Test Adapters Configuration Management Tools Proficiency in C# and scripting languages Experience with the product life cycle development which consists of Requirements review, test plan creation, coding, integration of test SW with test stands, oversight of certification processes and sell-off to customers. Experience following the test development processes. Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting.

Requirements

Highschool Deploma
8+ years of software development experience
Strong leadership skills with experience in leading engineers on multiple projects/tasks
Programming Languages: Proficient in C, C++ and C#
Test solution software and hardware integration.
Experience with HW debug & troubleshooting.
Experience with RF test development for production, employing RF Test instrumentation (Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, PNA-X etc.)
Experience using NI LabWindows CVI and TestStand
Experience with RF Measurement techniques and ability to diagnose and resolve to root cause measurement anomalies.
Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication
Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Experience in supporting factory production test stands, debug, problem isolation, and resolution
Experienced in developing RF test measurements for production
Ability to perform test solution development
Hardware Focus (test adapters, cables, tools, and interface modules)
