Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumm an is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located on site in Clearfield, UT This role requires a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction. With a focus ensuring our projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The successful candidates will coordinate with multiple stakeholders in order to deliver a successful project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of work experience in at least one of the following fields: Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Construction, Aerospace, Aeronautics, Electrical, Process, Production & Manufacturing. Or Master's degree with 6 years of experience in at least one of the mentioned fields. Or Phd with 4 years of experience in at least one of the mentioned fields.
  • Must have strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Must have experience in managing construction projects.
  • Must have experience with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera)
  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the job function (i.e. Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, and other construction design software)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret clearance and necessary Special Program Accesses (SAP)
  • Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license or must acquire a Utah driver's license within 30 days from the time of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Active DOD Secret/Top Secret level clearance and Special Program Access
  • Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705
  • Experience in aeronautics industry
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED Certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects to include reviewing incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.
  • Oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.
  • Prepares architectural and engineering cost estimates and schedules.
  • Obtains and supervises outside contractors.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Supervises the budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any deviation from the original plan.
  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
