Raytheon’s Airborne Sensor RF Design Department is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to work onsite at the McKinney, Texas location. The candidate will perform section leadership tasks, personnel management, and mechanical design, test, integration and documentation for RF systems and sub-systems. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
  • Experience with mechanical design and integration of RF systems or subsystems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have deep knowledge of project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure that technical goals are met.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
  • The candidate will be also responsible for meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for their work products.
  • The candidate will lead a section of technical personnel, facilitating the career development of those in the section.
