Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4) to join us in the pursuit of top-tier financial performance. This position is located onsite in El Segundo, CA and will report to the M anager of F inancial R eporting and A ccounting and will have the following responsibilities: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting data and analysis in support of the company's U.S. Securit ies and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements Analyze sector-level and program balance sheet and P&L , including, but not limited to: program sales and operating margin fluctuations, home office transactions, accounting for non-routine transactions, analysis of significant balance sheet accounts, and other a d hoc analytical requests Coordinate with functional , program, and division personnel to drive process changes and resolve Sector wide issues Coordinate with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process D evelop presentations and work papers to support and inform Division and Sector leadership Prepare non-routine journal entries in S 4 HANA and HFM Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation Liaise with auditors by providing requested PBC items and thoroughly responding to questions in support of the audit Support special projects on an ad hoc basis Mentor and act as a resource to junior members of the team

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline with 8 years of accounting, audit, and/or business management experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of stated experience
Public Accounting experience (each year of relevant Public Accounting experience counts for 2 years of experience above)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
CPA License/CPA Candidate in the near term

Nice To Haves

Aerospace and Defense Industry experience
Experience with SAP/S4 HANA and/or HFM
SEC reporting experience
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
Active DoD Secret clearance
