About The Position

The Senior Hardware Control Account Manager is part of the Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering Team. This is an opportunity to join a team developing the next generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Weather Data Reporting systems, as well as providing support to existing fielded systems. Collins Aerospace is a world leader in air traffic sensors and automation systems, responsible for providing air traffic tools to ANSPs in the US and abroad. We design, develop, document, deploy and support COTS-based and Custom-designed Systems, which use the power of the network to share information and aid in decision-making. These systems allow end users to protect people and property. The Senior Hardware Control Account Manager will work hand in hand with the STARS Hardware Leads performing Control Account Manager tasks such as: monthly performance inputs, baseline change request coordination, and monthly variance analyses. There will also be the opportunity to lead the hardware portion of various bids and proposals.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification
  • Experience maintaining program financial controls including Earned Value Management Systems, budgeting, scheduling, and performance monitoring applications
  • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with air traffic control or weather system hardware
  • Experience in technical risk management
  • Experience with proposal BOE writing
  • Existing or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Senior Hardware Control Account Manager (CAM) for the STARS program
  • Contribute input to hardware activities such as monthly variance reviews, quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) reviews, etc.
  • Serve as a hardware lead for proposal estimation and writing, including Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Work with Mechanical and Electrical Section Managers to ensure the proper staffing of programs and proposals – including outlook loading
