Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer - Engineering Tech Liaison role to join our team in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization. The selected candidate will support development and lead implementation of engineering solutions for complex data center and communication systems. The selected candidate will leverage their technical expertise in various technical review boards as it pertains to these systems and will work within engineering among a variety of disciplines to develop implementation planning while interfacing with both NG & customer stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of related engineering experience
• Experience with troubleshooting small to large scale data center infrastructure
• Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation
• Solid understanding of engineering process with execution experience across the program lifecycle
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Responsibilities

• Work alongside responsible engineers and customer community to manage production, review, coordination, and implementation of configuration change packages
• Develop and review technical change documentation and technical publication material
• Facilitate and lead technical engineering reviews prior to Configuration Change Board (CCB) to ensure collaboration across all NG stakeholders
• Ensure CCB packages contain concise technical content to meet implementation and fielding needs with clear planning presented to customer, management, and program stakeholders
• Champion and defend priorities for resolution of deficiencies through Technical and Software Review Boards
• Track and report on change package implementation, temporary modification status, and upcoming implementation activities required by engineering change boards
• Lead change in process and culture for change implementation using Agile principles
