Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. The position is 1st shift on 4/10s Monday-Thursday. This role is a senior level opportunity for a highly experienced individual with strong Product Test Engineering and interpersonal skillsets who is interested in developing into a leadership role. We are looking for a strong energetic highly experienced Electrical Test Engineer to support our electro-mechanical box build environment. Responsibilities will include oversight of a small group of test professionals responsible for product Test Engineering in the BAE SEAS (Sensors and Electronic Attack Systems) factory in Hudson NH. The SEAS factory is a 60,000 square foot focus factory specializing in systems integration and test of complex electro-mechanical hardware in support of all branches of our armed forces. You will be working closely with an experienced team of manufacturing professionals to develop and implement test processes, detailed instructions, and test equipment necessary to electrically test complex electro-mechanical hardware. The successful candidate will provide hands on day-to-day support to the manufacturing floor ensuring smooth operation of test processes while also providing mentoring and general oversight and prioritization to our small team to test engineers. This will also include test engineering process improvements, TE development, strategic plans, capital planning, proposal support, and other senior level tasks. This is a great opportunity to learn and provide leadership to more junior Test Engineers while being continually challenged and provide an important service to our country. You will have an opportunity to contribute to the success of new designs and test processes by sharing your experiences and lessons learned. You will be producing and evaluating quality data collected during test and be responsible for implementing defect prevention, testability, manufacturability, and continuous improvement actions. You will be challenged with characterizing a variety of manufacturing, test, and design issues impacting quality, cost, and delivery and tasked with finding innovative solutions to improve test yields and product quality. You will roll up your sleeves and work closely with test technicians and test engineers, and peer design and , manufacturing engineers to work complex issues to closure. Must be strong in digital, analog, and RF product test and have a clear understanding of test architectures and software. This role involves a wide variety of electrical test and product engineering related activities including Test stand development and validation, transition to production, sustaining test stand floor support, development and productionization of test procedures and test equipment, maintenance plans, technician training, debug guidelines. In addition, this role will assist in the diagnosis of product and test stand related issues requiring the ability to learn product functionality in order to debug product and test stands to component level. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset and will be expected to make improvements in test processes and products as necessary to improve factory yields. Will work closely with Process Engineering, assemblers, test techs, and inspectors as well as with design engineering to solve a variety of simple to complex manufacturing and test problems. Will perform periodic Test Process and software audits for compliance to AS9100 policies.
