  • Lead the design of multi-phased cloud data strategies, including developing multi-phased implementation roadmaps
  • Lead the creation of technology roadmaps based on gathered and prioritized business needs
  • Design and develop scalable data ingestion frameworks to transform a variety of datasets
  • Deliver on the technical scope of projects & demonstrate thought leadership at clients as well as within Slalom
  • Act as a Solution Lead or SME in the pursuit process, identifying appropriate SME from the broader Capability team as needed
  • Drive overall growth of the Data Engineering to our Clients through a combination of business development, solutioning, talent management, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadership
  • Data strategy and architecture - developing comprehensive approaches that align data initiatives with business objectives and designing scalable, future-proof data foundations
  • Conduct and lead whiteboarding sessions, workshops, and project meetings in support of data-enabled solutions
  • Prior consulting and leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of NoSQL databases such as Amazon DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB, including data modeling and consistency trade-offs
  • Experience with container management systems such as Amazon ECS to support scalable deployment of data services and microservices
  • Exposure to machine learning platforms, especially Amazon SageMaker, to support data science workflows and model deployment within the data architecture
  • Knowledge of real-time data ingestion and analytics using tools like Amazon Kinesis and Apache Kafka for building low-latency data systems
  • Proficient in designing dashboards and reports using Power BI, with an understanding of semantic modeling and performance optimization
  • Experience with modern data transformation workflows using dbt, including version control, testing, and deployment best practices
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions such as Ataccama, and data access control tools like Immuta for implementing role-based security and regulatory compliance
