Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking Senior Principal Cybersecurity Architect.

  • Responsible for the Cybersecurity Architecture of an extremely complex system that incorporates mature and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze overarching needs using a structured and logical approach.
  • Develop Cybersecurity Architecture solutions and concepts for various new and emerging capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other architects, including the lead Systems Architect, software architects, hardware architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish Cybersecurity Architecture standards for all system segments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 years of experience with PhD.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CA SP+CE, CND, CySA+, GIC SP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.).
  • Familiarity with and ability to apply industry-standard security guidance (NIST, IEEE, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience in application of standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and System accreditation implementation efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle and successfully supporting major reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience working with architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network and computer architecture, and relevant technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical briefing skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start.
  • Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE).
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture.
  • Experience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software integration, test planning & execution, or operational support.
