About The Position

EGS Is seeking a Senior/Principal Architect for our DOE Customer in North Las Vegas. This position is a local position reporting to the North Las Vegas facility and may require periodic trips to the site for project walkdowns and/ or stakeholder meeting. Looking for a resource with a minimum of 12 years' experience, mid-range up to senior/principal level. Work includes the development of functional, non-functional and operational requirements for infrastructure projects and development of project requirements specifications for proposals, resulting in Functional Requirements Document (FRD) and a Project Requirements Specification (PRS), respectively including any supporting documentation (e.g., program/project task/subtask breakdowns and visualizations [site layouts, floor plans, 2-D and 3-D pre-conceptual designs]). MUST BE US CITIZEN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture with a minimum of 12 years' professional architectural experience in relevant design/field experience required.
  • Registered Architect with current state registration.
  • MUST BE US CITIZEN.

Nice To Haves

  • National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation computer aided drafting applications is preferred.
  • Prefer working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
  • Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines or customer organizations, or projects.
  • Expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
  • Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
  • Conduct construction document reviews as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
  • Interface with other design/construction disciplines, management and customers, as necessary.
