As part of the Customer Engineering organization in Google Public Sector, you will lead cross-functional teams of experts to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. You will embody executive level qualities, lead the conversation, and direct the execution of the sales team by combining both technical goal and business insight. You will partner with value engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Public Sector. Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process, with an understanding of computing solutions and experience in building, architecting, designing and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
  • Experience in, or supporting the U.S. National Security community.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Ability to drive and influence audiences and identify expansion engagements within accounts.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.

Responsibilities

  • Establish trusted advisory relationship with accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies across the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
  • Demonstrate domain expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology, effectively promoting Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  • Advise on on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement complete solutions, while providing best practices to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
  • Oversee the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, technical teams, and more.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
