About The Position

The Senior Pricing Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that corporate actions, security master files, and security pricing are reviewed and processed accurately for Ultimus Fund Solutions. This position is a member of the Pricing Control Team which serves as a specialized team within the Fund Accounting department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
2-4 years of experience in fund accounting and pricing control.
Experience within the financial services industry, specifically complex securities.
Financial services industry.
Microsoft Office Suite.
Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

Reviews and processes corporate actions for the funds.
Maintains logs for corporate actions and corporate actions related tasks.
Updates benchmark, coupon, and factor rates for bonds.
Updates dividend rates for daily distribution and daily estimated mutual funds.
Sets up security master files (SMFs) in accounting system, primarily equity and options.
Makes and reviews adjustments to SMFs, as needed.
Provides documented support daily for prices that change by thresholds determined in the fund accounting procedures.
Challenges prices with vendors, as needed, and maintains the price challenge log.
Communicates with FIS and Ultimus development team to fix issues with daily price files loading into the accounting system.
Prepares and logs communication of stale price review process with clients and administrators.
Prepares and reviews Fair value mutual fund prices for fund of funds.
Works with vendors when any issues need to be set up.
Mentors associates through instruction, coaching, providing real-time on-the-job experiences, modeling effective practices, and advising on methods used.
Provides guidance and support to clients, as needed.
Communicates with management and the funds’ custodians, as needed.
Works with all Fund Accounting teams, in all offices, as well as the private fund group and 529 team.
May perform other duties as required and assigned.
