About The Position

Join Epicor as a PreSales Solution Engineer! The Solution Engineer serves as a trusted partner to the salesforce (direct and channel) by providing in-depth knowledge of the technical requirements and business use of our products in order to close ERP sales opportunities. This role will be responsible for solutions across multiple Epicor product lines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of presales within the ERP industry or equivalent operational ERP experience.
  • Background of success in supporting both direct and channel sales.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or finance industry.
  • Documented experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrations.
  • Successful candidates may have worked for companies such as SAP, Microsoft, Infor, Sage, Netsuite or other ERP companies or Value Added Resellers (VARs).
  • 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor Solution Engineers ensuring consistent and high standards of service delivery.
  • Communicate with the sales team on new business opportunities, translate client’s technical requirements to solution, drive the technical discussions, deliver custom demonstrations, and implement technical proofs-of-concept.
  • Conduct technical presentation of company products, manage POC and trial processes with the clients.
  • Establish outstanding business relationships and partnerships with the clients by demonstrating a high level of technical expertise, understand performance characteristics and establish credibility with the clients.
  • Influence target clients by presenting company products values and benefits and by demonstrating product architectures and assisting with cost evaluation and pricing issues.
  • Gather requirements and present to Product Development team.
