About The Position

The Senior Practice Development Leader for Alternative Delivery will be responsible for successful delivery of Owner’s Representative services for Alternative Delivery projects across RK&K’s footprint. This hands-on position will develop procurement strategies, advise clients, perform risks analysis, and lead the drafting of procurements for traditional and alternative delivery of transportation and water/wastewater projects. This position will also take an active role in the growth strategy and pursuit of Owner’s Representative services in Texas and beyond.  Essential functions for this position include: Conduct Project Risk Analysis and make Procurement Type Recommendations. Coordinate with technical, financial, and legal teams and lead the development of contract documents including performance specifications. Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local requirements for public transportation and water/wastewater procurements. Develop procurement and evaluation processes and assist Owners with procurement administration. Assist Owners with Industry Meetings, Pre-Proposal Meetings, Confidential Meetings, etc. Coordinate with Third Parties and drafting of 3rd party agreements. Assist in the development of Teaming Agreements and Professional Services Agreements with contractor partners for alternative delivery projects. Work assignments may be located across RK&K’s footprint, with occasional travel required based on project and Owner requirements. This position will also coordinate with existing RK&K Texas leadership to seek out, support, and participate in the growth of RK&K within the traditional design market in Texas.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in Engineering
  • 15+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work with and coordinate efforts of technical staff, non-technical staff, and legal advisors required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
