About The Position

As a Senior Practice Consultant, you will ensure banking engagements align with client expectations, business requirements, and long-term growth strategies, while also advancing FIS’s overall objectives for revenue and profitability. Design and deliver consulting solutions that address client needs, foster strong relationships, and drive high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty. Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships across key FIS channels – including sales, relationship management, product teams, and business unit leaders – to ensure alignment and collaboration that supports business outcomes. Oversee the financial performance of the consulting practice, including profit and loss accountability, forecasting, and reporting key business metrics to senior leadership. Ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded in alignment with FIS Consulting Services goals. Coordinate with fellow Practice Managers to allocate resources effectively across engagements, optimizing team performance and meeting divisional priorities based on demand and strategic objectives. Lead and develop consulting staff, managing engagement assignments, performance evaluations, communication strategies, career development, and succession planning. Maximize resource utilization across billable projects, internal asset creation, sales support, and thought leadership initiatives. Support the full sales cycle, partnering with sales and account management teams to identify and close opportunities. Responsibilities include proposal and statement of work development, pricing negotiations, project planning, and delivering client presentations. Travel 25% to 30% is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Typically, 10 years of management experience in financial services industry or consulting.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, setting strategic direction, making sound decisions, and achieving operational objectives.
  • Skilled in designing, recommending, and implementing corporate strategies, methodologies, and best practices across projects, programs, and personnel.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage complex challenges, perform under pressure, and build trusted relationships with clients, executive leadership, and peers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial institution operations, and risk management principles.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and highly adaptable in dynamic, fast-paced business environments.
