About The Position

Virginia Tax is seeking an experienced, senior -level PowerBuilder developer to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system, as well as development and implementation of the GenTax–IRMS interface under the direction of Virginia Department of Taxation management. This individual will work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self -motivated and ability to work well in a team.
• Interact with a multi -disciplined team to clarify analyze, assess requirements -
• Work independently and collaboratively on a multi -disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation PowerBuilder Applications
• Hands -on experience developing PowerBuilder applications (PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher)
• Hands -on experience using Relational Databases (Oracle 19C or higher, MySQL, or similar)
• Design and develop clear, maintainable, and efficient code
• Experience with Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps for version control and application lifecycle management
• Experience working with Agile / Scrum project management methodologies
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail with a result -driven mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate with development teams, team leads, and business analysts

Nice To Haves

• Technical knowledge in designing, developing and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional domain knowledge
