About The Position

The Senior Power Systems Engineer at Eaton Corporation is responsible for providing applied engineering and technical consultation in power systems studies, power quality analysis, and related areas. This role involves self-management of projects, ensuring job cost accountability, and delivering technical solutions to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency for customers. The engineer will perform various analyses, design electrical distribution systems, and mentor junior engineers, while also serving as a technical liaison between stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a directly related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Three (3) years of experience in the electrical industry.
• Experience performing field Power Quality Measurements.
• Experience performing Harmonic Analysis.
• Experience designing Electrical Distribution Systems, including modeling and mathematical calculations for load flow, voltage drop, power factor, fault, and grounding analyses.
• Proficiency in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, EasyPower, or CYME software.

Responsibilities

• Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in power systems studies and power quality analysis.
• Self-manage assigned projects and ensure job cost accountability within budgeted estimates.
• Interpret specifications and customer inquiries to design technical proposals and pricing.
• Deliver technical solutions that may involve equipment design, upgrades, and testing.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash analyses for LV and MV applications.
• Conduct field Power Quality Measurements and Harmonic Analysis.
• Design electrical distribution systems including load flow, voltage drop, power factor, fault, and grounding analyses.
• Deliver arc-flash safety trainings and technical presentations to external stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical liaison between internal and external stakeholders on power system design and analysis.
• Mentor Junior Engineers on power system studies.
