About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Target Date team at Principal Asset Management. In this role, you’ll provide relative asset class research and make recommendations to improve multi-asset class strategy performance! Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree with an emphasis in finance, economics, accounting, or a technical field
  • 8+ years of relative asset class modeling and asset allocation recommendations
  • General knowledge and understanding of investment vehicles, economic and investment theories, the investment environment, retirement investing, and Principal Global Investors' network of specialized investment groups and affiliate product offerings
  • A proven track record of strong analytical and research skills as it relates to relative asset class modeling and market research

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation
  • Experience with Morningstar, Bloomberg, FactSet, Macrobond, Barra and performance attribution/risk decomposition tools
  • Financial modeling experience that includes Excel, Python, or other coding tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively research, compile and analyze information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently in a non-structured environment, and drive results
