About The Position
Commissioner Rodney Ellis represents the constituents of Precinct One in Harris County, which is a diverse urban area with approximately 1.17 million residents. The mission of the Office of Commissioner Rodney Ellis is to deliver responsive public service that utilizes inclusive, innovative, and collaborative approaches to improve the quality of life, advance equality of opportunity, and promote fair treatment for all people in Harris County. Key areas of focus include advancing a fair criminal justice system, economic justice, equitable healthcare access, environmental justice, resilient infrastructure, voting rights, and social and racial justice.
