About The Position

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to design and implement plumbing and fire protection systems. As a Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to develop all construction specifications and documentation for all plumbing projects. This role requires technical proficiency, rigorous attention to code compliance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (required).
Minimum 4 years of direct experience in plumbing and fire protection design.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Elite, HydraCALC, HASS).
In-depth knowledge of plumbing and fire protection design, corresponding terminology, and general knowledge of MEP design.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-rise residential, hospitality, or public/institutional projects strongly preferred.
Familiarity with NYC building codes and design regulations (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for new and existing buildings.
Conduct field surveys and assess existing systems.
Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
Develop coordinated drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD.
Research and apply relevant codes and standards.
Prepare technical reports and documentation.
Attend project meetings and collaborate across disciplines.
Support construction administration efforts, including shop drawing reviews and site coordination.
