The Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer will lead the design and stamping of plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems for data centers. This includes chilled-water distribution, water treatment/makeup systems, stormwater and drainage, and NFPA-compliant fire-suppression systems. The role requires a PE license and the ability to deliver stamped drawing sets for permitting and construction.

Requirements

BS/MS in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with plumbing/fire protection stamping authority.
8–12 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection for mission-critical facilities.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software.
In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 2001, and local codes.

Responsibilities

Develop and stamp plumbing and fire protection drawings, including piping schematics, water treatment, and drainage systems.
Design and specify fire suppression systems (wet pipe, pre-action, gaseous/clean agent systems).
Ensure compliance with NFPA, ASPE, and local plumbing codes.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers on chilled-water and makeup-water requirements.
Mentor plumbing/fire protection engineers and review design packages.
Collaborate with contractors and AHJs to address compliance issues.
