About The Position

The Buildings Division provides design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include public transit terminals and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail. Other potential projects include correctional facilities, law enforcement, public health, and both K-12 and higher education buildings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or credential such as CPD (Certified in plumbing design).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience designing a wide variety of facilities for industrial, educational, institutional, and governmental projects.
  • Experience with all systems associated with Plumbing design including Sanitary, Storm, Domestic Water, Natural Gas.
  • Experience with Fire Protection Wet/Dry/Pre-action Sprinkler systems and Fire Standpipe systems is a plus.
  • Good planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong REVIT skills are preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED AP, CPD, or PE certifications.
  • Focused experience with industrial projects, state agency projects, and/or local municipal projects.
  • MA PE is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, supervise or mentor team members and deliver timely feedback and recognition to others.
  • Maintain strong client relations as it pertains to project delivery and repeat business.
  • Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
